If those people are beginners and have aurora totem use it in a good weather or when megalodon spawns cuz it spawns aurora borealis which make your luck x6 and the thing he was talking about losing money it’s fake if u catch fishes u earn 10C$ and if u sell it u can get maybe a different amount of money like more or less the better your fishes are the more the money u get from selling them and by the way the depths is the place where u can grind for money find a whirlpool where there is a line going down from up to down jump in it and it will teleport u to a place called vertigo and complete the whole bestiary of vertigo and u can go to the depths to get money and enchant relic to upgrade your rods to hasty, blessed, resilience and other and get money to buy better rods like trident rod which u need 150kC$ and complete the whole bestiary of desalope deep to buy the trident easier way is to ask people if they can open the door for u so u can buy it

All jokes aside though, dont use the aurora totem until you get a rod that can catch fish that are 200-1000 kg or until you get a rod with good luck

And if you see a progress speed debuff, just know that its a rare fish

Also use a rod with high luck and high weight limit

ACTUAL TIPS:
1. if you get am aurora totem, it gives insane luck but only use it at nighttime so it doesn't immediately disappear
2. Try to catch it if it says -something% lure speed since it means that the fish you're trying to catch is most likely to be a legendary, exotic, mythical or secret (the exclamation mark on your head will have a different colour)
3. try to get the depthseeker rod (someone has to help youget to atlantis). Next, save up for champion rod. (Getting aurora rod is optional)
