It has been 50-60 Years since most african countrys got independence, if they wanted border changes they could of cooperated but they didnt.

Borders in Africa are straight lines only where there is a desert (Sahara, Somalia, Namibia) because in the desert there are no mountains and rivers to draw borders. Other borders in Africa are normal.
