Virology 2014 lecture #21 - Evolution

Where did viruses come from? Where are they going? How are they getting there? How would we know? To begin to answer these questions we need to understand the main drivers of viral evolution - large numbers of progeny, mutation, quasispecies effects, and selection, and how they result in new viral populations.
