I'm making beans now in the oven from dried beans not a ton of sugar
They make low heat for 5 hours..but worth it
And there really baked not in a overly sugary salty sauce..
I love beans since a child
I love all beans

I've been drinking bean juice for years from canned beans, had to know finally if they were cooked and heated in the cans with the plastic liner so thanks, no more bean juice for me. Why can we not avoid heat and plastic coming together in this society? Plastic itself is one thing but heating it with food inside is something industries can't seem to understand the negative effects of.

Eaten a cold can of baked beans nearly everyday fir the past 10 years for lunch, cheap and delicious, no mess. Just wash the spoon afterwards.

My favourite...the baked bean toasted sandwhich. Butter the bread, DOUBLE cheese slice, a bit of pepper and toast until browned and that is the way of the student. I don't get sick of that meal

If you're anything like us at ABC Science, baked beans and tinned tuna have become a recent lunch favourite. Have you found yourself eating more canned food lately?

As a consumer of Bush's
Baked beans, I love the can
of maple/hickory. Keep in mind, LOTS of CARBS.
(I use Eckridge polska Kielbasa, slice each piece into 1/3" & spread out in my air fryer, 8 min. @ 330°
then toss with the very hot Bush's Baked beans.)
👍🏻 🇺🇲

I’m Mexican so I’ve always just had pinto beans that are boiled in a pot with seasoning and herbs, sometimes refried with lard.

But lately I’ve gotten into trying baked sweet beans and I have them regularly now as well. It’s neat to see how they are made since I don’t make them myself.

If there are bugs in the beans at least they are dead!

I pressure can homemade maple-bacon beans in mason jars. Its a very similar process. Things have to be done correctly to get a product that tastes right, with the right texture and that is safe to eat. Food and cookingis really a science and an art!

While I appreciate the convenience and variety that canned foods bring to our tables, the topic of packaging safety, especially concerning BPA (Bisphenol A) in can linings, cannot be overlooked. Studies have raised concerns about BPA’s potential health effects, including its impact on the reproductive system, brain function, and behavior in fetuses, infants, and children, as well as possible links to cardiovascular issues among adults. It’s encouraging to see a shift towards BPA-free packaging by many brands, mindful of these health risks. I believe that consumer safety is paramount, and transparency about the type of can lining used is crucial for making informed dietary choices. Providing clear information on whether cans are BPA-free or if alternative safe materials are used helps consumers minimize their risk exposure. It’s an important step I hope to see more food producers take, ensuring the health and well-being of their customers is a top priority?
