I am 25, I have never worked because I have social anxiety. Being a housewife doesn't mean being oppressed or too lazy to work. It means to be a happy person. I am just lucky to have a husband who supports me and wants me to stay home. It's great to see other people who have a similar opinion. I live in Russia and it's shameful to say that you don't have a job. But I LOVE staying home, gardening, growing vegetables, taking care of pets, reading books. Why would I work as a cashier or smth and get $300/month ( Russian salary) when my husband can give me the same amount of money and that's what he really wants? I think people are just envious

Me too!! Being a housewife is amazing! 18 years with a daughter and this is the life i never knew i would be good at and love. I support my husband and kerp the home lovely for him. We are a great team

So many housewives make money as well. I have offered but its a source of pride that my husband fully takes carevof us financially so i became a housewife at 21 full time

My working friends think im dumb until they test me. The secret is i have more free time to learn a skill and read but its really not a competition. Im just insulted when people think i am home because i am dumb. No. I am home because i am the best at caring for my daughters many ailments. I have had many professionals teach me programs and methods to help kids woth autism sensory or feeding issues. The best compliment i ever got was my case worker said after asking how do i discapline WOw you are a natural at just what your daughter needs. When in fact the schools and drs were pushing the opposite. A mother must put her offspring in school and therapies as sur can not help. For years we did 9 therapies a week and many social and mental health classes for my daughter but she hated and resisted. So now she is 14 and for the last few years we let it all go and she is doing wonderfully being loved snd supported

I'm currently a nanny for a family of 6 kids and I have been doing this for almost 7 years now. I love caring for my home and making healthy home cooked meals but it's really hard when I work 50 hours every week. I feel constantly overwhelmed and like I have lost part of myself and who I am having dedicated so much of my time and self to my job. Being able to become a homemaker sounds like a dream come true. Definitely getting closer to just that.

I’ve been a housewife for 40 years and love it! What I have done to make a beautiful, comfortable home for my family and myself to thrive in is something I feel good about. I am a caregiver to my daughter and i read, bake, exercise, study my bible, listen to podcasts about space, collect houseplants, LOVE to clean, and take pride in reaching out to others with calls or letter and i send art to my friends in nursing homes. My husband cooks and shops and balances the bills while making the money. I support him and am proud of his efforts as he is of me in my msny tasks including teaching our mute 3 year old sign language and then speech and teaching homeschool

Right now it's not affordable for me to be a housewife but I have still managed to curate my dream life by working in a way that allows me to nurture and care for other people. However, WHEN I become a full time homemaker I am looking forward to taking my time a little bit more and doing everything to the best of my ability rather than rushing through it. I absolutely love when you say, "you have the right to reinvent yourself" I feel that's what I've been doing and its a struggle to let go of the old me ( the box I put myself in or others put me in) and be confident in this "new me" because we are our own worsts critics. But, these talks truly help me consciously throughout the day watch my thinking and serve as a reminder. They bring true value to my life and I'm sure many more woman. :) Thank you!!!!

I don’t have a husband, ( I sincerely don’t want one) I guess not technically a housewife, BUT I love being a homemaker on my down time!

I’m a professional, but it doesn’t stop me from coming home and putting on proverbial apron. Cleaning, decorating, investing time in learning household maintenance not to mention cooking, gardening, laundry etc.... All these tasks are learned over time and learning to appreciate your home and setting a personal standard for your home and homemaking is an investment worth making.

Thank you for sharing your life and thoughts with us 💛 a few years ago, in my early 20s, the mere thought of climbing the corporate ladder or pursuing college to “further” myself and my life made me feel scared, suffocated, and hopeless. I felt so lost when I tried to picture my future. It wasn’t until I met a great man, settled down with him, and now take care of our home and have a baby on the way that I truly realized my purpose in life. A slow paced, simple life. A calm, happy life. I am thankful for this man and this life he has provided us every single day. My pregnancy has also been wonderful and I attribute that to the fact that I have very little stress in my life. I can’t imagine living out these years of my life any other way. I am so blessed.

Just found your channel and just want to thank you for taking the time to share your experience as a homemaker! Since I decided to be a housewife, I have gone through a lot of negative criticism by other women including relatives and friends, but thanks God I have been able to stay strong on my decision.
