Time blindness? It's called lazy and disrespectful. When you are late, you are telling everyone around you that your time is more valuable than everyone else.

I'm from the same generation as her and that is ridiculous. Being late to any function is a pep peeve of mine.

Then again, I have a bro in law that never appears on time for anything. His job, family functions, doctors apts, etc. He doesn't like being told what to do.
However, for his job he is strategic about it, and didn't start doing it right off the bat. He built up his value within company first. He is considered one of the best employees and he pretty much single handily makes them alot of money.

I forgot what he does, works in some IT company for 17 years.
He can be up to like 1 hour late and his bosses don't say anything.
The point is, this works for a super small amount of people and they should build their value first.
