Thank you Invicta likes to play with words in this area A LOT! I used your info. to make my last Purchase of SWISS MADE WATCH! Use to be Wenger, V-Cross, and Taug Heuer were ALL Swiss. Now one must do research. Thanks to you that is easier! Can You imagine back in the 50's and 60's having this discussion?

Good info bro except for the part about... "... because Swiss labor is the MOST expensive, and it's also going to be the MOST precise" is just a personal opinion. I grew up in a machining and manufacturing background and just because labor is more expensive does not equate to a more precise product.

For example, look at a car built in japan where labor is much cheaper but there cars are much more precisely built compared to cars manufactured in Detroit where labor is higher.

Likewise, the labor to manufacture a custom motorcycle such as a chopper is way more expensive than the labor to manufacture a japanese motorcyle but the custom chopper has no where near the precision parts of a japanese motorcycle so MOST expensive has no direct correlation to MOST precise.

In my opinion, Swiss Made is just an attempt to protect the swiss watch industry.

Great vid I try to buy only swiss made watches now. I've had a few swiss parts ones and after a year I can tell the diff in quality. I also believe that there is a difference. I do have to say that is only for my watch collection. My day to day break them and leave them watches I go with cheap ones.

I bought a Swiss movement watch from a Mercedez stall in an auto show. The next day the crown and the needle attached to it came out! Had to got through lot of trouble to return it. Here after I'll stick to either Swiss made or Japanese made watches

Great informative video, What about Panerai ? it says L SWISS MADE L   why is there two Ls in between ? or brackets  I know Panerai is Italian brand, like U-boat using swiss movment.

So many different watches and so many different sales persons say different things just to make a sale. It is good that you are explaining Swiss Made vs Swiss Movement. As you mentioned, some watches that contain Swiss movements and are assembled in another factory are of good construction and value. I know that the Swiss Legend and others such as Renato are top quality watches that have Swiss Made Movements and are assembled in another factory that is not in Switzerland. Thanks for the video and keep up the great video's for us. Some brands such as some of the Egard brand, have Japanese movements and are assembled in Switzerland and they are a great value also. Some of the Egard also have Swiss Made Movements are are assembled in in Switzerland.

What about Swiss Made Quartz vs. Swiss Movement in some watches ? I've notices some newer ESQ Movado say Swiss Quartz, but spotted the band says 'China' making doubt anything on it is Swiss.
