2007-2020 Toyota Tundra Fuel Door Spring Replacement

I showed step by step, how to replace the Fuel Door Spring on a 2008 Toyota Tundra. The spring allows the gas tank cover/fuel door to open and stay close with the spring action. This replacement should be applicable on all second Gen Tundra's from 2007-2020.

Thanks for the demonstration; it helped with the removal and installation. I had to take great care not to damage the plastic pin after removing the clip, because the plastic isn’t robust and the pin had to be carefully pried loose.

Best video on this issue. The first time I had to do this I had a real problem attaching the spring and ended up bending it. Here we see the secret.... The hinge while raised somewhat is rotated toward the right to more easily attach the spring around the post and then rotated back in position... Other videos showed them struggling to stretch the spring. Great job! Made it easy!
