The Sony A7RV is My Perfect Camera

Показать описание
Sony A7R V review. Why it's my perfect Sony Alpha mirrorless camera.
Thanks to @MagicWeddingPhotographer and @timmuza (he filmed this) for the nice times in Portugal. Go follow their channels and check out Magic's review on the camera. Thanks to him for letting me use a few autofocus screen records.
In this video we talk about the camera. The real life things I need a camera to do, and the ways the Sony A7R5 meets, and exceeds them. A lot of people will probably call this a Sony A1 killer if they don't need the high frame rates, and electronic shutter.

Sony has made my perfect camera. The A7RV.
It seems designed exactly for my specific needs.
Which are broad, and quite honestly, completely unrealistic.
I’m a hybrid wedding photographer, and video creator.
A commercial photographer, and video creator.
A YouTube Photographer, and video creator.
I create a lot of work, over a lot of genres.
From Antarctica, to Kenya, to Japan or Iceland.
And I’ve never really found the one camera to fit all of my needs.
They brought all of the good forward, and didn’t unnecessarily remove features, or introduce problems to make you have to spend more money buying a more expensive camera.
I want to mention this point again because I think it’s very rare in the industry.
They didn’t bring out the hammer, and do something silly just to make you have to buy a Sony A1 or a Sony FX3 as well as this camera.
This can be THE camera. Your camera. A camera that when you get it, you’re not immediately realizing the limitations and wondering if you should have spent more money.
This camera really is everything I’ve loved in previous Sony cameras. All in one place.
First.
This camera is incredible responsive.
The autofocus which was already amazing, got a big improvement with the new AI chip.
I won’t get into all the details, but basically this camera understands people, animals, and objects on an entirely new level.
It is the new industry leader when it comes to that.
It is fast. Very fast.
Maybe my favourite ergonomic thing of any camera brand, is how you have 3 physical dials that are easy to get to.
Two on the back, and one on the front. You’re not struggling to move your thumb to the wheel down here to control aperture.
That said, there is a 360 dial, and that dial can be used as a D pad to move left, right up and down.
The ergonomics in general are also great. Gone are the days of clunky bodies.
Next. The LCD screen and EVF are beautiful.
Incredibly nice to use.
A lot of nice touches, like the audio monitors up in the top corner.
And it comes with a fully articulating screen. There’s also an option to use it more like the A1 if you wish.
Menu system makes sense, and the body is incredibly customizable.
I’m pretty simple with my customizations.
ISO gets set to this wheel, which in my opinion should be standard.
The C2 button get sets to APS-C crop mode, so I can quickly bounce into it with one button if needed.
I leave everything else the same.
The Sony A7RV just works.
With the camera
You can take as much control as you want to, but all of the automated decisions are going to be even more accurate now.
This really is a camera that really does stay out of your way.
In a metaphorical way.
It’s obviously still in your hands.
And in front of you. Physically.
