Giant meat pie
500g flour (about 4 cups)
250g butter (2 sticks + 2 tablspoons)
1 ½ tsp salt
1 teaspoon baking powder 5g
½ plus 2 tablespoons water 136g

Pie filling
* 500g minced beef (0.5kg)
* 3 tablespoons oil
* 1/2 small onion
* 1 large carrot (diced)
* 2 medium Irish potatos
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 2 seasoning cube (knorr beef cube)
* 1 teaspoon garlic powder
* ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
* 2 tablespoons flour or 1 tablespoon corn starch
* 1 ½ cup water
* 1 egg for egg wash

Great Teacher. I liked the fact that she explained basis of what she is doing, e.g the punch holes on the pie, cold butter, etc

I really liked this when I stumbled across it. I like the idea of one large pie. I have just started on preparing it now and waiting for the mix to cool down ... I hope mine will turn out nicely too. Well done ✔️

I had an observation, while I was trying not to add too much water by following the measurement, the dough wasn't rolling so I had to add water at the rolling step and mix it(overworking the dough). Although I was worried that it might not be flaky anymore, it turned out good. 😂❤. Thank you again.

Hi i would love to try this meat pie but can u explain more for me please about the amount of water for the pastry it show half and 2 tablespoon does it mean that it's 2 and half tablespoon water this meat pie looks so good i will try it God's blessings my dear and happy new year to you and your family
