The advantage TSM have is their engineers from Taiwan. Currently Intel don’t have highly educated Chip employees working there. Colleges in US need to prepare Chip workforce, not DEI.

ASML machines is not the only factor required to build a next generation semiconductor fab. Intel was behind TSMCs in the EUV technology development but found the missed opportunity and went ahead on the development of High NA EUV. Intel was working with asml on that since 2018. That gave them a lead on sub nanometer lithography. So with 18A intel will be at least one generation ahead of tsmc in lithography. Now if TSMC goes and puchases those same asml machines it will take a few more years until they can do the same lithography as intel. Its like saying i bought the most advanced robots in the automotive industry so because of that ill be beating BMW in manufacturing cars.

IBM and Intel have done the lion's share of innovations for the chip industry. However, the issue is in the details, i. e. "building up the fabs", "bringing up the yields" where 'US manufactuers' are behind, whether it is Intel or TSM. This is a problem seems of no easy solution.

TWSM is building in north Phoenix and I suspect at time of completion they will have the latest ASML and any other equipment. So not sure how much INTC will obtain as far as market share goes . Needs a deeper dive because TWSM is also trying to diversify outside of Taiwan.

As someone who has been in information technology since the early 1990s, I agree 100% I have been telling my wife about this for several months and bought a bunch of Intel because of it. Great job!

Intel get first dibs on the EUV machines because... they paid for much of the research that went into EUV since the 1990s.

What is your opinion of WOLF? They also are involved for silicon and chips.... They have trended down over the last year, but do you have a long term opinion of Wolfspeed?

Could be all based on the winds of political risk and change. I think so.

I think this makes sense. While I listened to it I went to search Intel related news. Only one question came to mind. Even if local production were to shift to Intel, would they prices compete? The big ones will surely go local so that's a given, but I still think Taiwan semiconductors will remain in business selling their cheaper products to other companies anyways, I might be mistaken if course.

Thanks for the news.

The one advantage that TSMC has is they are an independent fab making zero products of their own. You can't say that about Intel or Samsung. Imagine you are AMD or NVDA, and you ask your competitor to fab your chip for you. Hard to say, many years ago Apple was comfortable going to Samsung to fab their chips even though Samsung is their main smartphone competitor.

Hello what did you think on Taiwan semiconductor moving to us that is the plan will you still on selling tsmc

I think most investors in the semi sector have thought this about Intel and I may be true. But I must say this guy, in my thinking, gives me very little confidence in his “research”

Question. If you are 50 with $4 million invested 50% in etfs based on broad indexes (Dow, Spy, Nasdaq) and 50% money market. Is this $ enough to retire. I rent a 2 bedroom apartment, no debt, no kids. Thanks.

Stay focus. Chips will be the next gold and oil with demand far exceeding supply.

Chips will go parabolic.

Intel and AMD will rocket many times over.
