There are two options for surviving college: ramen noodles, or a good old fashioned grift. #PrimeStudent

This video goes out to all those people who complained that the channel had nothing to do with college.

Like this style of comedy. Real stories are better than what can be written

In Australia you take out a government loan to study and then the government garnishes your salary once you start working to pay back the debt. The catch is than you have to earn a minimum of $45, 000 per annum before the repayments start. By choosing to do an arts degree I made sure that I would never have to pay back a cent of that loan. ;)

In first year of uni I lived in the cheapest accommodation the uni offered. This may have been a mistake. The flat was infested with silverfish, the flooring was coming up at the sides in the shower room (which those silverfish loved), my flatmates threatened to kill me as a joke sometimes (I hope it was a joke) and when it was windy you could feel the block of flats moving. The only positive about it was that I lived on the 4th floor and had a beautiful view of the hills and sea. I later found this accommodation on a list of the top 10 worst accommodations in the world and it's since been closed down. Good times.

Went to a small liberal arts college, and as much as I loved learning from lots of different disciplines the textbooks for my Bio major were expensive enough without adding on all the little side books for my other classes. So by junior year I stopped buying them altogether. Sometimes they'd be in the library, and I'd check them out as needed, but my favorite way to handle it was bullshitting.

Since it was a small college, most of my non-major classes were only like 5-20 people, and a common assignment in a lot of them was "Step 1: Read the assigned chapters. Step 2: Talk about it as a group for 30 min in class the next day". So I'd just show up to class, listen to the first few overachievers talk, then raise my hand and offer a generic-y opinion about the text I didn't read, get a nod from my teacher, then coast through the rest of class without being called on. Basically I practiced rudimentary cold-reading to get out of buying books.

While in uni, I decided to stay and work over the summer at the closest airport. Now, airport shops and food outlets throw out tonnes of food everyday, still sealed in their packaging and sometimes days before their expiration date. Toiletries that people can't take on the plane? That stuff gets thrown away too. Expensive booze? That too. Literal boxes of chocolate bars? Oh yeah

I've lived off of thrown away sandwiches, subs, wraps and ready meals for three months this summer. I've had three gatherings at my place where all the booze was stuff people threw away at an airport. I haven't had to buy food or toiletries in three months. Also started collecting snow globes because those are a flight risk apparently and that stuff gets thrown away too

Used to work at a small 3-star seasonal hotel back in my first college. Never had to buy food, since I was a kitchen porter, and I just took home all the leftovers from the carving station on a weekly basis...Also took home stew that was going to be thrown out at the end of the day.

At some point I was so poor that all I could afford for food was whatever veggie or fruit was for sale at 1$ for about 10/20 pounds. I had months were all I ate was potatoes, beets or apples. Was a really weird time.

I had two friends who saved money in college by being homeless and living out of their cars. Is it time to talk about the prohibitive cost of university in America yet?

I expected Adam to come through and ruin ALL their stories. Also, I wonder what Katie did to save money while she was in college?

The squirrel story is actually concerning. I wonder how long he stayed in that room

The craziest thing I did was nothing because I'm from Australia and I had a fortnightly allowance from the government, worked for minimum wage at $22 per hour, and offset course fees which are only due when you start making lots of money. Mental!
