This $200 Billion Turkish MEGA Dam Is HATED By Many
When you think about Turkey, what comes to mind? Its sunny climate, the Ottoman history? Maybe you've seen the hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia pop up on your timeline.
If so, you might be surprised to learn that, as of now, Turkey is also known for building a 200 billion dollar mega dam that has broken all records, and is hated by many. This Turkish Yusufeli dam has a total height of 275 meters and is made of millions of cubic meters of concrete, making it the highest one yet in Turkey and the fifth largest in the world.
These projects show Turkey's commitment to progress and innovation. They'll bring benefits, but definitely also some challenges that need to be managed carefully.
