Great video and beautiful shots! I absolutely LOVE Big Bend! I go out there alone at least once every year. If it wasn’t for the almost 10 hour drive from Houston I’d go way more. Love the stargazing, I always try and go during new moons. Can’t wait for my trip there in a week!

Thanks for the video, I’m taking a night sky workshop there in April and you’ve given me inspiration.

My son and I are going this weekend to catch the perseids meteor shower. The photos you had were beautiful. I dabble and astrophotography and I can't wait to try it out there!

Those pics at 4:10, with the clouds of stars...are those views visible to the naked eye, or did your high tech camera capture them? I'll be at Big Bend NP in a week, and look forward to seeing the night sky there.

Im heading there later this year. Im planning on camping and exploring.
Im not really into star gazing. But with the dark skies it looks like an amazing opportunity.

Hey Mallory, This is the stuff I love. If you can mention the gear you carried and what you are shooting with when you capture those one in 10000 gems. Thanks for your comment on my dark sky fail. Haha. I’m not discouraged. I’m 61 and will soon make time for National Park tours. In fact going to Acadia soon.

Very nice, very informative. I've gotten into panos a few years back and didn't care for all the stitching. I've since picked up a 6x17 medium format film camera and used it extensively during a road trip to Saguaro NP and Joshua Tree. I'm in DFW area and planning a road trip to Big Bend in the near future. Using Photopills app for full moon and/or milky way timing. You have a new subscriber.
