Seriously underrated channel. Thank you so much for this. I'm using your how to beat lynel video as well. I spent a big chunk of last night practicing the perfect parry and dodge on the red one on the mountain near zora. I have 4 star ancient gear so he don't do too much damage on me. I'm getting better at dodging him lol it's a work in progress but getting there for sure.

Don't forget, if you want longer buffs, cook your dishes between 1130-midnight on the night of a blood moon. As all the malice and stuff starts to float in the air, all your dishes will be a critical success, either increasing the hearts you get OR the length of the boost.

Another 60+ guy here. I'm enjoying your videos a lot and have learned quite a bit. Thanks! I remember when I first started playing and I would give Guardians the wide berth. Now they are a simply an annoyance.

I take out stalkers by first chopping off their legs and then depending on how many hit points they have left drop them with a couple of regular arrows to the eye or underbelly. If they have more than half of their hit points left, I go with an ancient arrow. If you chop their legs off before you drop them, you get a lot of ancient parts plus those when they die. I only need 30-40 seconds to finish them off, so I don't see that as too long to farm that many ancient parts.

Hey, wanted to give you a tip, though I'm sure you know this. You really don't need to use parry attacks to defeat a Lynel, as you can defeat one without even getting touched or even worrying about it. Always, and I mean ALWAYS, have the Barbarian outfit, a multi-shot bow (or at the very least a quick shot bow), and at least one attack-boost meal. If you have Stasis+, approach the Lynel by paragliding. Then land directly in front of it. Freeze the Lynel with Stasis, then shoot it directly in the face. Approach it by sprinting towards it with a strong 2-handed weapon, and tap Y, and Y again. This is a slide-attack combo. If you do this quick enough, you will see a prompt to allow you to mount it by pressing A. Do so. Repeating hit Y until the Lynel bucks you off, and as soon as it does, enter bullet-time and shoot it in the back of the neck. Not the head but the neck, as this is a "critical hit" (a direct hit in a sub-bosses weak point), and will do the most damage without even risking getting touched by the Lynel. If you don't feel comfortable with this approach, grab your multi-shot bow and Bomb arrows. Use Stasis on the Lynel, then use Revali's Gale to propel yourself and enter bullet time right after, and finally fire as many arrows as you can. Both of these processes are rinse and repeat, but are the most effective yet time-saving method to beating any Lynel. Hopes this helps anyone!

Hi, You failed to point out that with the ancient shield you buy from the lab, You just have to hold it so the guardian laser hits the middle of it & it will be sent back at it. Never get caught using it in a side way position, because if it hits the side of the shield it will not work & it will break the shield & damage you. I have completed BOTW twice during the past 2 years. I also find the easiest way to defeat sky guardians, is to glide down on them, so you can hit the circle on top of them with a ancient arrow for 1 shot kill. There head wabbles to much to rely on ancient shield sending laser attack back at them. The Lynel 5 shot bow with shock arrows works best at stunning & damaging guardian stalkers.

Everytime I watch one of your videos, I think two things “why am I watching this… I know this already” and secondly I think “why is someone’s mom playing Breath of the Wild six years late”. But please don’t think either of those are insults… because I keep coming back. Which shows your videos are engaging!! Also, I don’t know who you are but your background sounds different to mine and we can bond over this amazing game! This is why BotW/Zelda/Nintendo is so great… it transcends gender, culture, age, background, language, and any other barrier that games generally put up. If you play in Master mode, these walking ancient guardians are a lot tougher to destroy: (1) they scurry back everytime you try to aim for their legs; (2) the parry technique doesn't always work since there's a random delay when they shoot the laser; (3) if you fail to exact damage on the enemy in a timely manner, their health regenerates.

My record so far is reloading 23 times for a giant ancient core. Really great practice for Hyrule Castle. Keep doing what you're doing Shari. Great information without watching a 45 minute video that gives only half as much information.

I just love everything you've done! Thank you! I am 73 and I got hooked with the very first Zelda game: The Legend of Zelda in the 1980's. Things have REALLY changed since then! I love playing Zelda but am old and my reflexes aren't what they used to be--also your videos have helped me get unstuck when I can't seem to solve an in-game problem. Tip: the ancient shield will send the guardian beam back at it without the parry, it chews up the durability but is a good way to practice

you can use any ancient/guardian weapon to instantly destroy the legs of a stalker. Even the 10 damage guardian spear.

There's actually a sweet little farm spot, but you need to finish the lomei labyrinth and don't open up any boxes. There's like 12 guardians that you can kill without having them activating. Also is you kill a guardian with a wooden bow of attack power of 25+ they will almost always drop a mini core.

I finally got all my armor/amiibo armor upgraded. The helms were the last thing I needed. Knocked them out in 30 minutes. Thank you again for this. You're the best.

I know this video is a year old but im just so glad there are people who are still making BOTW videos and still playing the game. Im replaying BOTW for like the 5th time and i do have the guardian amiibo and they will give u cores but that would involve with a lot of time skipping on the switch and I wanted to get my cores like everyone else does. My wife and I are 60+. We played zelda ocarina of time with our kids on the n64. We bought this switch a year ago and played through ocarina and majora a few times until I found Breath of the Wild on ebay for $15. We love it.

Love your video! I really like chopping the stalker's legs off, considering how scared I was of them at the beginning. I didn't realize they might have the giant ancient cores, so now I'll be hunting them for those. One thing about the flying Guardians is to make sure to shoot them so that the parts fall where you can get them. I've lost track of how many times I've shot one down only to see the parts disappear into deep water - tho some will float - or over a cliff that's so steep that climbing back up would be too much of a hassle.
