I think they need to define the difference between frugal and cheap. Most people living on the edge financially are frugal - they do extra little things to save money. Cheap people are the ones that other people don't like. Frugality can help you live a more simple yet fulfilling life and reach financial goals.

Something Americans need never worry about is having too many frugal people. On the contrary we have the opposite problem, we are a nation of debtors. Chained in an endless cycle senseless consuming.

Hmm, quite an unfortunate usage of an asian character to depict being "cheap". Reinforces negative stereotypes and the like. Quite out-of-touch to not even realize the implications of the graphic.
