Youngjae's introduction to his solo career was just. perfect.

When Last Piece came out, he ended up being in the end only (due to an injury) but they said he was like the last piece. Idk if it was intentional but he ended up being the last piece in completing their solo activities. 9 months since GOT7 left and we’ve been blessed. As an IGOT7, Youngjae absolutely did that!! He’s definitely our sunshine 💚

Imma be honest, my fav got7 member is jay b, BUT i have to say that youngjae’s album is definitely my fav from all got7 members’ album so far. Ars pen never disappoints me. This song fits him the best and i how he not going like so damn hard for the choreo and focus more on his vocal tone as he should! Even the whole album is surprisingly so so good i would give him a standing ovation if he’s in front of me right now.

Fun Fact : Youngjae produced and wrote this song. Under his alias name ARS( which means Art in Latin)
Also another Fun Fact: Youngjae is the only one I know thus far in Kpop that has strong distinct vocals that nobody can match. Youngjae dont need the mic. The mic needs Youngjae.
BTW my favorite hook in the video is when he saids (can we just move) that part always gets to me its like he is pulling me. lol

It was not technically "released", but before this, he performed his self composed song, Lonely, in ELLE Stage! The song was also included in the COLORS from Ars album. He also had a lot of OSTs that came out this year.

Also, he participated in the writing, composing and arrangement of all the songs in the album. He really shines as a songwriter.

Youngjae explained in his reaction to his MV that: "the girl was already leaving, in the end, he comes but he wonders where did she go and wanted to play with her but she is gone. The girl was kinda upset and didn't answer the phone so he was angry and drop the phone (in the industrial set). Then he wonders if he should just play by himself (the part where he dances with the dancers) then he realizes she isn't here and leave with his car and say fine, don't want to play with you ...
It's something like that, I roughly translate and resume it ^^ I don't know if it make sense / if it' understandable

I feel like everyone was looking forward to seeing him singing ballads but youngjae literally proved that he could pull off all genres. I personally think this song suits him so much that I can't imagine anyone else singing it. This whole album serves in all ways and I feel so blessed.

As an ahgase I do have to say the two solos that surprised me in concept were Bam’s and Youngjae’s. I was expecting something along the lines of ‘Believe’ and ‘Party’ for Bam. Like a chill r&b party feel with a lot of autotune. Then for Youngjae I thought he was going to go for a ballad but maybe he didn’t because he got to be in a musical earlier this yr. He maybe wanted to change directions after doing that. He also always mentioned wanting to do more vocally as the main vocal. Regardless the fact that Got7 has remained booked and busy while being on hiatus as a group is not common and amazing. Most groups wouldn’t have all had something going on consistently and individually. I think they did have things planned out so they could do many things before finally coming back together again. Even though they often joked they didn’t know what Bam was doing or what another member had planned. I think they finally had to time to think about what side of themselves they wanted to release. It wasn’t something given to them to release. We’ve come a long way from that dreadful time in January where we all so unsure of the future and were sobbing in showers listening to ‘Wave’. I couldn’t imagine my world without Got7 and I know many others feel the same. Youngjae really is the last piece and holds the group together. Now I’ll go cry over Got7 crumbs and vibin’ challenge interactions.

This song is so catchy, you can't help but move when this song comes on. The entire album is amazing. The different vibes he gives us with each track! He is credited on all seven trackes, 6 as co songwriter and composer ad with Eternal, he wrote and composed it himself. He is finally getting the opportunity to show his vocal range to the fullest and he absolutely slays on this album. Every song is a fave, depending on the mood I'm in when I listen to it. I would love to see your reaction to the album.
Youngjae did mention that the video is him driving to meet his partner, trying to get hold of her on the phone but to no avail and when he eventually gets to the motel, she'd taken the phone off the hook and left already.

It kinda feels like there’s two stories in the video: story 1 is the scenes where he’s dancing and smiling with the girls he’s crushing on while story 2 is the more sober scenes where he’s by himself or with a phone. To me this reads as story 1 being the picture of what he wants in his head while story 2 is what he’s actually doing in real life

I knew PD’s reaction would do Youngjae justice!
He’s such an amazing vocalist and producer. He and Jinyoung are the ones who bring depth to GOT7 with their lyrics and compositions.
The grounded tone of the MV is just what the song needed to give it a little oomph. I appreciate it much more after this video :)

Same! out of all the solo release GOT7 had this year, Youngjae and Jinyoung's are my favorites. I wished you had review on Dive, I was actually waiting for it. But i'm relieved to know you liked it nonetheless. In summary, GOT7 released bangers after bangers and my Ahgase heart is so happy

Vibin is the title track of Youngjae's first mini-album COLORS, so yes this there is an album! He also made some songs for ost's of different drama's and he also released some solo music on Soundcloud under the name ARS

I loved the song, yes he has a whole album. He wrote and produced it. !! Seriously being an ahgase was the best this year. The boys put out amazing music. Loved everything.
