LATEST Rumors On Alabama Football’s Position Battles + One Freshman WR Who Continues To Shine

Alabama Football rumors from Fall camp have been full of position battles; most notably at the right tackle and cornerback positions. Both Wilkin Formby and Elijah Pritchett have been battling for the right tackle position but Kalen DeBoer has said that this battle will most likely go into the season. Nick Kelly of AL.com has suggested that freshman CB Zabien Brown could be in the lead for Alabama’s open CB position alongside Domani Jackson. Lastly, Alabama’s freshman WR class is loaded with potential. Ryan Williams and Caleb Odom have drawn the most buzz during Alabama’s Fall camp but Rico Scott should not be overlooked as a player who could shine for the Crimson Tide in the 2024 college football season.

"Wilkin is great at understanding the scheme and what we need to get accomplished. He makes good calls. He has the tools to be a very good player. Pritchett plays with a little edge to him. He can be a physically dominating player. When that shows up, he does a really nice job in pass protection and in the run game… So we're looking for a little more push from Wilkin, and a little more consistency from Pritchett, and then we'd have two really good players."

Pritchett had a 1.1 pass block rating at Arkansas. I could have done better, just standing in front of someone. That is pretty pathetic if you ask me. I think he will lose the battle now that I've seen the stats because they don't lie.
