Noctua are arguably the known kings of cooling when it comes to fans and coolers, but there is a lot of competition out there, and the new Thermaltake Toughfan 12 Pro has a few tweaks to the original Toughfan 12 to make the Noctua NF-F12 PWM possibly NOT be the number one choice.

The Thermaltake Toughfan 12 Pro is suitable for a wide range of applications such as Case fan, Radiator fan or even CPU cooler fan for those wanting to upgrade.
PWM ranges between 500 - 2000 RPM or 500 - 1500 with the included low noise adapter.
New improved stronger fan hub and shaft for less vibration and wobble.
2nd generation fluid hydro bearings
Polymer based construction, solid and tough, for long running times.
5 years warranty to match the Noctua.

So which one do you choose? Not much between them on paper, similar prices, similar specs. Same warranty. I guess it comes down to performance and noise levels. Performance wise the Thermaltake beats the Noctua in our installation by a small margin, so it comes down to noise, and for that i will let you decide.
Let me know your thoughts.

Those Thermaltake ones do look the absolute business, loads better than the Noctua ones. Great to see that performance wise they are able to trade blows with the legendary Noctua ones, giving options to those who need premium kewling fans.

Yeah both fans are very nice. I could be happy using either in a build. I know that most folks aren't a big fan (no pun intended) of the two tone brown color of the Noctua fans, but they look nice to me. It's all about the airflow. Thanks for sharing Mike and Lady Kath. Take care all. Cheers.

Great build quality and prefer thermaltake's colours to noctua. So if same colour its an easy win imo. Only question is why put resistance cable inline wasting energy rather than simple lower the fan speed curve? Doesnt make sense imo! Thanks for comparison Mike & Kath 🐈👍

As always love your content. Just noticed at 2:10, the sticker on the back of the hub indicates 0.70AMP and at 3:30, Thermaltake specs indicate a rated current of 0.19A . Thermaltake's website also indicates a current of 0.19A for the specifications but the photos for the fan show the same sticker with 0.70AMP.

This Thermaltake model was tested on a special machine and made to order. This machine is known as "Long Win LW-9266 Fan PQ performance measuring device".
It measures various parameters in PC fans more accurately.

According to the Thermaltake brand, this Toughfan 12 Pro model promises to offer 70.8 CFM, static pressure of 3.19 and noise of 22.6 dB(A).
In the tests carried out, this model presented 65.08 CFM, static pressure of 2, 60 mmAq and noise with 30.7 dB(A).
8.08% lower airflow (within the acceptable ±10%) and 18.50% lower pressure.

Sorry my English please.

Did look it up. from where i order.

Noctua NF-P14s redux-1500 PWM 140mm grey = Drehzahlbereich: max. 450 - 1500 rpm. max. ~ 79 cfm (134.2 m³/h) @ 25.8 dB = 17, 50 €.

Thermaltake Toughfan 14 black = Drehzahlbereich: max. 500 - 2000 rpm. max. ~ 58 cfm (98.54 m³/h) @ 22.3 dB = 18, 45 €.

I'm still a Noctua Fanboy.
