Dame Ellen MacArthur has an exceptional vision that is clearly not getting through to a lot of folk, at least some of the big corporations have got on board now.

Currently for companies which produce washing machines, cars, computers, etc... the cost of selling their products and forgetting about their life-cycle is lower. And the reason for this is the low cost of energy and raw materials. Once the costs of energy and raw materials will be higher then it will make economical sense for those companies to rent out and reuse materials.

Of course unless if governments regulate those companies and force them to rent out. I doubt it will happen considering the links between the lobbies and the government officials.

As a member I feel embarrassed and disappointed that WWF gives a platform to an idea of corporations owning everything and then seeking rent on it. There should be a better way to implement a closed-loop economy…

Or was your boat made of wood and natural rope? No.... plastic, fibreglass and oil. But the one who circumnavigated the world in a plastic boat wants to explain circular economy...The hypocrisy is great.
