Turn Your Cheap Band Saw Into a Beast! Part 2: a Tutorial andTroubleshooting: 012

How I upgraded my Cheap bandsaw to a power house. This video is a follow up to part one which can be found here.

Keep in mind this project was mostly just for fun. This saw does 90% of what I need from a bandsaw. Like I said in part one... I just wanted to see what I could do with it. The new pulley is working great and I am happy so far.

You need this one if you plan to duplicate my results.

Okay, this strange. You are the first uploader who made me unhappy that the video ended. Really like your ideas and methods. You make it easy to follow your thoughts. After reading previous comments, it makes me feel good that you put family first. Good on you.

You are, seriously, one of the best DIY YouTubers out there!
Keep up the good work.
Thank you.

Nice vid... I like the way you show the mistake with the nails... most people would edit it out. My Mum used to say, "the man who never made a mistake, never made anything".

Just what we need - a poor man's version of upgrading your shop. I have lots of portable tools but no space for a shop. I'll be watching you and the rest of the backyard shop gurus on YouTube because the things you do are the things I would like to do.

I'm subscribing to your channel today. Thanks.

I really like your black and white font. It's easy to read even over various colors and brightnesses of backgrounds.

Man this is perfect. I just picked up an old 1/3 hp craftsman bandsaw for 20 bucks and have been complaining about it's limitations and my washing machine just died so I happen to have a 3/4 hp motor now for an upgrade

Got a chance to catch part two. You are so right about the blade. In many ways that's the most important link in the band say chain. Correct width and TPI for the project with a quality blade is magic. If people are still cutting with the original blade, you will think you've gotten a better saw just by replacing it with a good quality one. I use Timberwolf blades, but there are others out there as well. Sure do like your style!

Great video! Pointing out where you fail and how we can avoid it is a great service to your subscribers.

You are a very smart man...and seem to be a cool dude as well. I love your ideas for modifying and creating your own stuff out of what others perceive to be junk.

Stumbled onto your channel. Watched a couple videos. Subscribed.

Glad to see the videos are easy to follow, but not overly wordy.

Great videos! Keep up the good work. You're a very bright young man. Most fun I've had in a while, watching you work in your shop. I have a Skill 3385. You're like Tim the Toolman adding that extra HP we all want on our tools. Keep up the good work.

congratulations on the thousand subscribers! I am so glad I stumbled on to your channel. Great shop tips. Practical and clear advice on DYI and up cycling. Good production quality and best of all really cool projects. That clock build could have easily been 4 videos with out getting boring. Wishing you the best. A weekly or biweekly video would be awesome.

Mr. Fielding, after hitting a nail, you may want to give some thought to your blades. Once in awhile you will break one, and if it is still fairly new and sharp, you will want to be able to mend your own blades. It is a simple process, easily learned on you tube. It worked for me, and by golly you will have no problem doing it, either. Propane torch and high-silverr content silver solder...actually a brazing process and a scarf joint. Works good, and recycles blades.
