As an Iranian I'm gonna give you a new perspective on this situation. Look:
1. The Islamic republic has almost no support in Iran.(Only 5 to 15 percent support it and most people here aren't even religious anymore)
2. The IR is the source of 70% of terrorism in the world.
3. The Iranian people are ready for a regime change and we love and support the USA and Israel and that's a fact.
4. Fighting terrorism, the migrant crisis and losing a big potential ally such as Iran is a huge cost for the world, especially the west.
5. Before the Islamic revolution(1979), Iran was a great economy and a great civilization, and it was allies with the USA and Israel. Also there was no migrant crisis because the middle east was in peace.
7. Spending money on overthrowing the regime in Iran is way cheaper than war and housing migrants, and it's better in the long term.

Therefore, the west has to focus on overthrowing the regime and all of these problems will be solved. Prince Reza Pahlavi, the opposition of Iran, has 40% support in Iran which is enough, because his goal is a democratic republic in Iran.
This way we as humans can save millions of lives lost and the world will also be a safer place with great economic stability. This vision is clear as day to me and I think it has to happen and it will happen. Sorry if it was so long.

It seems like the key to the situation would be to get a Western aligned government in Venezuela. They have more than enough oil to keep the world economy running if the middle east were to have an interruption in production.

I doubt Israel would have any problems obliterating the terminals on Kharg.
In April they destroyed a S-300 search radar next to the Isfahan nuclear facility supposedly with an air-launched ballistic missile they fired from within Iraqi airspace. The terminal is HUGE, compared to that target.

It’s because Israelis don’t want to do something that will hurt the Iranian people. The Persian people and Jewish people have been friends through the ages. Israel is looking for a way to hurt the ayatollah regime not the people. That’s a very hard thing to do. On the other hand, Israel can’t afford this regime getting nukes. A though dilemma for sure.
