It's easy to declutter trash and things that we clearly aren't using, but what about things for someday? Or items we just aren't sure if we'll need in the future? Introducing Mr. Justin Case to help us navigate this tricky territory!

LOOKING FOR MORE SUPPORT?

We have a few ways that we can come alongside you:

1) PRIVATE DECLUTTERING GROUP:

This takes place in a private Facebook group. Here's what you can expect:
- 5-10 minute videos each weekday with guided decluttering tasks
- monthly themes, weekly challenges
- 1 hour live guided decluttering sessions each week for accountability
- encouragement & support from other members
- cost is $11/month

This is ideal if you're looking for more motivation & accountability.

2) DECLUTTER YOUR HOME IN 15 MINUTES A DAY WORKBOOK:

This workbook is designed to walk you through decluttering each area of your home in 15 minute lessons.

- easy to follow lessons designed for limited time & energy
- our key concepts (like inventory, the silent to-do list, the endowment effect & more) are spread throughout the book, too

Ideal for those looking for a self-paced guidebook to declutter their home quickly & efficiently.

The workbooks are $20 (digital or spiral bound)
Shipping: $4 flat rate domestic US

Find more details here

3) TWO COURSES TO CHOOSE FROM:

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO COURSES:

Take Your House Back is hosted with three of us, myself, Dana from A Slob Comes Clean and Cas from Clutterbug. We talk big picture about how to declutter and focus a lot of attention on working through obstacles like sentimental items, unsupportive family members and other hang-ups. This course is FUN, there is a lot of involvement from all three of us and the ideas are specific to those who haven't been successful in the past.

Ideal for those who have been decluttering for a long time with little success and those looking for more community and support.

In the Declutter Your Home in 15 Minutes a Day course we go through the workbook, breaking down specific areas of your home in detail to be able to declutter faster and with more confidence. If you want to know specifics (like how many of each thing to keep) this course is for you.

Anyone else think Tom was going to be hiding in the bathroom vanity and pop out? Too cute guys.

Tom throwing pillows at you and exposing you as a pillow hoarder was hilarious 😂

This is THE BEST!! I think I’m going to make “Justin Case” labels to put on items during my next decluttering just to make it super visible how many things I’m keeping “just in case.”

I saw a quote awhile back that said “throw pillows are the stuffed animals of adult women”. 😂 I like to fluff my nest as well!

Thank you for this wisdom. I have an extremely hard time with this. "Justin Case" syndrome runs deep in my family. My mother and grandparents lived in communist Cuba where they often went hungry and simple things like toothpaste were scarce, so when they finally escaped to the states, they developed a serious hoarding tendency. My siblings and I were sort of indoctrinated into this way of thinking: "What if we lose our freedoms? What if the country becomes communist and you can no longer buy things? What if, what if, what if?" The Justin Case method is based on an underlying fear of the unknown, which can be difficult to resolve. However, I really believe it's not worth it to live with a burden of belongings out of fear and anxiety about the future. It's better to trust in Jesus and live in freedom, knowing our Heavenly Father takes care of us no matter what.

Every time I think, “I’ll keep it, just in case”, I hope I think of Tom popping out of random places and get rid of said item! Thanks for being a good sport, Tom!

What I hear is I've been letting "Justin Case" live here rent free, for years or decades. Humor & helpful, I can appreciate. Alright Mister you've been warned.

I made such a mistake telling my husband, “You’ve got to watch this! Dawn & Tom are so fun in it!” My husband has been harassing me with “Justin Case’s” ever since!!! 😂🤣😂

Hardest stuff for me is actually the stuff you never show on your channel.

We struggle with tools, screws, gardening supplies, decorating supplies, DIY stuff mainly.

This video had me laughing so hard 😂😂😂 “You’re hoarding pillows, Minimal Mom!!!!” 😂 Such great points though! My just in case items are those one-use kitchen gadgets!

I laughed so hard when Tom popped out of the closet, and even harder when he was under the bed!! 🤣🤣 Love you two!! 😄

Okay you two, this was THE funniest video! When Tom addresses you as “Minimal Mom” while burying you with your pile of throw pillows, hilarious! I just really enjoy you guys being so real. This definitely enlightened my perspective and I so appreciate your guidance through these (many) decluttering stages. I’m going to see those name tags ALL over my house. Another very helpful video. Thanks for the laughs!

Great!! Now every time I question something I’m going to picture Tom as “Justin Case” giving me the excuses to keep it. Lol

Dawn to Tom: "We're heading out to the garage after this" [i.e. the pillow throwing]. One of my new favourite videos for sure!!! Love the mix of decluttering wisdom combined with humour. Living in the Right Here, Right Now is something I'm really trying to work on this year. The Minimal Mom has been & continues to be a huge inspiration for me!!
