I'm watching this video on my Essential PH1 running Android Q beta 5 and this phone is still an excellent device in 2019. It's so smooth, the fluidity of the touch screen, responsiveness, pure stock Android, battery life is good, dark mode works, full gestures is fantastic, the single firing bottom speaker is loud and I use Nova Launcher too. Using the Pixel 3 Gcam apk has taken this camera to the next level and videos are great as well. I bought this phone on December 6, 2017 for $450 from Best Buy unlocked, it's never given me problems and I hope there's a PH2 coming out soon.

I'm watching this video on my Essential PH1 running Android Q beta 6 and all I can say is I can't wait for the final version of Q later this year. This device just keeps getting better and better for a 2 year old phone that runs like new.

Mine is functioning strong after a year. A simple protective skin for the back and sides and a run of the mill screen protector has protected it through numerous drops and scrapes. The only thing I have noticed after a year of use is my battery drains quite a bit faster.

I got mine a couple days ago, was a really awesome device up until I bricked it last night.

Don't hex edit the bspdata partition, folks. That's how you lose your device to the boot logo of death with no hope of return due to accidentally wiping fastboot. Lesson learned

Ordered one for $110 today, sold my Galaxy S8 $60 more. Not necessarily an upgrade but I constantly find myself switching back to my old nextbit Robin for the boxy aesthetic and stock Android experience.
