I have to say the PH1 is a very good phone. Well built, aside for those who will claim if you drop it, the phone will be toast. Not the case if you have it in a case. I have found battery life to be excellent. I only charge mine to 80% and in over 6mths I have only lost 3% of the battery performance based in accubattery. The camera is good I have no issues with it. I am super happy with it. Screen is sharp, it's snappy fast and I have no reason to buy anything coming out.

I just got the essential phone yesterday after backordering on prime day and I gotta say its a much better phone that people make it out to be. I love it so much I want to keep it myself but its supposed to be a gift for my sisters birthday. Heres hoping theres a black friday sale!

Android P is also better on the Pixel. I love the animations and how snappy it has been performing. The Essential phone is definitely worth it. The ceramic back, built feels great in the hand, and I like the grip too. I wouldn't use a case with this phone.

Same here my PH-1 is running very well on Pie. Android 9 has complimented the PH-1 greatly.

Just purchased the Vivo nex A for 545$ 6GBs ram 128GB and 6.59 FHD display with 4000Mh battery and 22w fast charging. You should give it a try man I really think you will like it. The 845 version was 725$ and comes with a in display finger print sensor. The cheaper version runs super fast as well. The specs are almost identical to the Snapdragon 835

Just ordered my Essential Halo Gray for $223.99 from Amazon on 8/19/2018. Coming from a ZTE Blade X Max on Cricket Wireless, this should be an absolute beast from what I'm used to using.

I'm using the Essential and the 5.7" screen is actually way smaller. With the new update most apps aren't using the space beside the notch. The option to over ride apps and make them use the space has been taken away in the update. The space where the home button is always present and it takes away from the screen real estate.. The 5.7" screen is actually way smaller and looks way smaller when compared to a 5.5" screen with off screen buttons. There's unusable space at the top and bottom.

Love my essential phone on Android P, it's definitely working. In fact I like this phone so much I bought 2, (I had a white one but I couldn't resist the stellar grey before it sold out)

I got this phone because I seen the potential and even if we might not see a second version of this phone the updates are amazing the cameras are ridiculous, performance is top notch and the build quality is amazing and I have had the phone for almost 8 months.

Just FYI, I contacted Essential to ask about authorized battery replacement center recommendations. That's because I heard parts aren't readily available and the screen will be destroyed while opening. This is the response I got:

The battery is not replaceable in itself due to the way the phone is designed, so if there is a confirmed defect with it a device replacement would be required to solve your issue.
