Gary Busey was played at the Foster Brooks Golf tournament in Louisville - it was a Derby week event and Gary Busey ended up at a bar on Dixie highway - he smoked all my cigarettes - when he left he stopped and gave me a 20 - told me sorry for smoking all the cigs ( I didn't care - he bought our drinks for 2 hrs ) " Buy a carton"

I loved them both, had the pleasure of seeing them both. I saw Leon the 1st time in a school gym in Ann Arbor, Michigan 1973, again with George Harrison and Ringo and a 3rd time with Willy Nelson. Those where the days.❤

That's so Cool to learn that about Gary Busey !! I've always liked him and his Movies . And I've been a Guitarist and Drummer since I was 12 or 13 . So that makes me like him even more . I mean, we know he's suffering through a lot of issues that I don't specifically know about, but I hope he's getting help from Family and Friends .

Saw Leon Russell in in Pine Bluff Arkansas in the eighties. I think Muddy Waters was opening act. Great show

Back then Gary was totally normal. The head injury in 1990 sent him over the edge.

Gary Busey, wow I never knew he was a musician I watched them on some social media he actually seems like a pretty funny guy. Made a lot of good movies as a tough guy

I saw Tom Petty Three times and he was amazing every time I was planning on catching him on the 40th anniversary tour he was getting ready to start I hadn’t realized that I had been going to see him live about every ten years and I would have kept going as long as he kept touring every ten years to!

Leon and Gary were both from here in Tulsa. That's why Leon helped him. Leon also produced the Gap Band, Steven Bishop, Wayman Tisdale and the Hansen brothers.
