A long time ago I tried to learn React after two-three months of Javascrip and I didn't get a thing so I took a break from programming for a few months thinking I was too dumb to code. Then I spent nine months or so doing vanilla PHP and JS and building things from scratch, and one I decided to revisit React because I needed a job and I managed to pick up the basics in about a day.

Hey, used to watch your material back in 2020 when I was thinking about getting into software, long story short, I am a developer now and been working for exactly 2 years now after studies. Few days ago, I started to think about the freelance route again and this popped out in my feed, thank you!

Top notch. I’ve experienced some of these myself. Slow feedback from clients can definitely prolong timelines and then they look at you like it was your fault.

Excellent video Stefan. Thank you.
I am writing an article on this entire video and sharing with my Linkedin followers and credit you.
Thanks for your leadership and credibility.

I can totally agree with what you are saying. The best way for transition from a fulltime job to a freelancing business seems to be reaching a stable income of at least 3 month money. I have quit my regular job on the first glance to early (had over 10K a month, but no time for mining new clients). Now i switch back to a fulltime job for 2 years and establish my freelance stuff beside, that is much better for me. For sure there is alot of "payed lessons" along the road. That was one for me. Never give up is probably the most important one.

I’ve followed you for some time and always appreciate your point of view. Who knows, one of these days I might quit my job as a Java developer and pursue my dream as a freelancer

Thanks Stef this is awesome. I'm in the process of building my first freelance web design & development company. Hoping to go live by the end of the month 🚀

The most important bit is about small clients vs big clients and always looking for new clients.

The Sensei! Pure jewels of wisdom! Another great tutorial Stef Sensei! I sat through it TWICE hoping it'll all stick. Steph of God! You could have kept this knowledge for your paying cohort on your website, but you made this info available for everyone. God bless, Stef!!

Glad to hear from another experienced freelancer that small businesses can have a long feedback waiting cycle !
Was starting to think it might simply be me who picked a client where steel nervers where a requirement 😅

Nonetheless it still is a bit of a hassle as you do need to keep track of that feedback status ...

Something you simply don't seem to have when working for bigger companies, but hey, nothing is perfect in life 😂
