Motion Parallax Example: Clouds near and far

When in motion, objects that are close to the viewer move further across the visual frame than objects far away. In this case, the nearby clouds look like they move faster than the far away clouds. This is called motion parallax, and provides an important clue to how far away different objects are - one of the sources of information used for depth perception.
