I love seeing the markets, grocery stores and food shops. Particularly when I can see the prices. Thank you for a great tour.

Just about my favorite thing to do when traveling is to shop in grocery stores for my daily sustenance -- thanks for the tour!

I discovered your channel recently and I watch it to practice my English too. I am French and I find it so funny to see foreigners being fascinated by French shops. Once I was shopping and I came across an American family (I think lol) who were marvelling at the yoghurts xD I never really realised how lucky we were to have so many good products in France. I was born here and I'm used to always shopping, eating healthy actually became normal and a habit for me. It's when I travel that I realise the differences and also that we don't realise how lucky we are, we complain too much!
But I find it fascinating to see the differences in culture, I would love to travel to the US one day, the skyscrapers have always impressed me! And maybe I'll find some unusual products in their shop too lol

This bring nostalgia!! I’m french living in the US, I miss the French food a lot even after 25 years. My kids love going there for the food!

I just love to watch stuff like this -- everyday tasks, shopping, banking, errands, simple walks in the park, etc. I especially love that you are not 18 and saying "like" all the time and trying to live in a glorified broom closet. HA! I have visited France and plan to again. Keep up this great content. Love

Things that I found when I was in France was shocking to me in a way. The grocery store I went to when I was in Grenoble 9 years ago was similarly big and they had a huge yogurt aisle with a lot of unflavored yogurt. You don't find that kind of an aisle here in the US and the yogurt sold here is made with ingredients that shouldn't even be in our bodies to begin with. Another thing that shocked me was the cheese, especially ones labeled "lait cru" (raw milk). Raw milk is illegal in the US and that was very cool to try some of those cheeses and not get any illness from it as our stupid country claimed a long time ago. Since my experience in France, I have been drinking my coffee black and have learned to eat quality ingredients and read labels at the grocery store.

The grocery experience in France has always been fun for me! Seeing the different foods compared to US grocers provides great insight into the French diet. Dairy, wine, bakery all larger than US counterparts. Yogurt alone takes up an aisle. Thanks for sharing and Joyeux Noel (sorry, no umlaut).

When my wife and I travel to France, we always go to the markets and also look at the snacks. I love the flavors of chips. They usually show up in the US a couple years later.

You could do worse than an aisle-by-aisle series. The most wonderful thing about grocery stores in France is, they're full of French food!

Thank you for taking the time to do this. I love the fact that you start in the car and we see how/where you park etc. It really gives the whole experience!

I would be in heaven if I was in that supermarket. I am in London but miss France so badly. I used to go twice a year! ❤️🇫🇷😢

Diane, thanks so much for taking me back to France, I can’t wait for healthier times when I can return. Like you, I also enjoy exploring French supermarkets. Nicely produced episode, your vlogs are getting more and more sophistiquée.

Oh, how I missed going to France this year to do my Christmas shopping! French supermarkets do Christmas so much better than ours in the UK do - ours are just piles of cheap sweets, whereas in France there are those too, but also the lovely selection boxes you showed, and the hampers with jams or wine and paté (so useful as presents for one's elderly mother, who loves that kind of thing), and so on.... to say nothing of the smoked salmon (okay, you can get that here, too) or the foie gras with its gingerbread and onion or fig I do hope that by next Christmas we will be able to travel again.

The flour aisle was the most amazing to me. In UK we have plain flour or self-raising flour - and a few oddities like cornflour or wholemeal flour - all in all it occupies maybe 10 foot (3m) of aisle. A typical French supermarket will have a whole aisle devoted to flour - loads of different types for different breads/cakes/pastries etc.... Amazing....

We always make a point of going to local grocery stores when we travel. While in Paris we visited Monoprix. We love the little glass pots of yogurt and the variety of salts. Of course, we have those in the US now too. Thanks for the tour.
