I’m impressed by Stoke space’s rapid advancement. This is what we need in the industry. Seriously, Spacex needs some competition. As good as they are today, a space monopoly would be massively detrimental.

Pretty cool, I hope they get it right. That being said both engines work for very different launch systems.

Stoke is who I’m hoping to intern for once closer to completing my CE/Aero degree

For a very long time, all the major rocket players said that a reusable rocket was a pipe dream, couldn't be done. Once SpaceX proved it Could be done, a number of other companies are now trying to duplicate that success. Since most customer payloads are much smaller than what Starship will deliver, there is room for a number of companies to develop smaller reusable rockets and still make a good profit, while lowering launch costs for everyone.

The thrust for SpaceX (pardon the pun) is for interplanetary travel. So they are constantly scaling up - Falcon, Falcon Heavy, Starship, Starship Block 2, and undoubtedly even heavier space workhorses.

That leaves plenty of room for lighter launchers - even Falcon is not the most efficient possible for a large number of missions.

So hyped for stoke, that rocket is such a beauty of engineering, & full flow staged combustion on top of that, what a beast it’ll be

Once again, thank you for the self made English captions❣️ It’s so much easier to read at your own talking speed. Keep up the awesome work ‼️

By the time Stoke catches up to where SpaceX is today we will be on Mars. It would be good to have a second competitive system. How is Stoke funded? SpaceX is mostly funded by Falcon 9 launch services revenue and Starlink Revenue. Now they are adding direct to Cell service. That will revolutionize cell use and search and rescue work. I don’t think Stoke owns similar funding mechanisms. SpaceX funding is internal. No outside board of directors can interfere or micromanage its operations. That is a huge advantage.

There hasn't been anything new about Stoke in a while. I'd like to know how they're coming along.

Thanks a lot. You didn't even name it. Not everyone is a space buff.

Smaller than Starship might be an intermediate nitch.

This is what Elon wants. He wants competition. It forces us forward faster

Thanks for sharing this, really like this company. Expecting to see Elon welcome them into SpaceX or just copy their technology for the Moon lander version of starship. This engine would be perfect for the ring of small engines around the waist of starship to land on the moon without having to introduce an entire different fuel source.

It's very difficult for small sat launch providers to compete with SX ride share. The economics are tough.

They are years behind . Spacex really got a head start in the space industry

The raptor is flight proofed but it's not reliable at all.

I promise no engine is like space x's raptor version three
