I run XC for my high school team, and XC moms are genuinely the most terrifying beings in existence! Though I guess they have to be wild as heck to produce the runners I've met. My sophomore year a girl had a knee brace on while running. The spring popped out of her brace and shot into her other knee! The girl kept freaking running and managed to get 2nd place. After that they had to call an ambulance
