You can tell Riley must have had someone close to him get killed in combat. He chokes up at the line about “everybody overseas making it back home” and has to keep strumming for a couple seconds. He’s got a big ol country heart

My grandpa was my only constant male figure my whole life. He was my dad. He's been gone 7 years. It doesn't get easier. It still hurts like it was yesterday. My son was his pride and joy. I'll never forget the scream my baby let out when i told him his best friend wasn't coming back. It was the most painful, devastating sound I've ever heard and it'll haunt me for the rest of my life. Songs like this help a little. Riley says it better in this song way better than i can. I wish we could keep them forever.

Yes, he switches to different beers in this song at different concerts ( one concert he might say Coors the next concert he might say just picks it during the song no rhyme or reason he's just not saying BUD LIGHT is all. Keep staying true Riley!!
