To donate:

In the figure, a ladder of mass m is shown leaning against a wall. It is in static equilibrium making an angle theta with the horizontal floor. The coefficient of friction between the wall and the ladder is mu1, and that between the floor and the ladder is mu2. The normal reaction of the wall on the ladder is N1, and that of the floor is N2. If the ladder is about to slip, then:
A) mu1=0, mu2(not=)0, and N2tan(theta)=mg/2
B) mu1(not=)0, mu2=0, and N2tan(theta)=mg/2
C) mu1(not=)0, mu2(not=)0, and N2=mg/(1+mu1 mu2)
D) mu1=0, mu2(not=)0, and N1tan(theta)=mg/2

Mr. Biezen: Your brillant. I'm a nut brain because other stupid paths were taken instead bettering myself while in the formative years. Thank you for the countless illustrations and spot-on mathematics. Structural
