Solving 1-Step Equations w/ Addition & Subtraction - [6-11-1]

In this lesson, you will learn how to solve 1 step equations. Here, we focus on solving equations by using addition and subtraction. To solve an equation, we must isolate the variable on one side of the equal sign. In order to do this, we can add or subtract any number wish as long as we do it to both sides of the equation. In this way, we keep the equation balanced. Here we practice solving equations by solving problems.

1. Does your physics 1 and 2 cover AP physics 1 and 2?
2. What grade should you take physics 2?

3. Does your chemistry course cover all of High school chemistry contact and also AP chem?

This is o.k, but it would have been better if he had opened up the viewers to how this is explained in different spheres of math I.E.THE LANGUAGE OF ADDITIVE INVERSES, EX:TWO NUMBERS ARE ADDITIVE INVERSES IF THEIR SUM IS ZERO, EXAMPLE: 3 +(-3)=0.THEREFORE 3 & -3 ARE ADDITIVE INVERSES. FOR HIS FIRST EXAMPLE IT WOULD HAVE WORKED THIS WAY :C + 3 = 5, REWRITTEN IT LOOKS AS FOLLOWS: C +3 +(-3)=5 + (-3).THIS BREAKS DOWN TO THIS: C +3 -3 = 5 -3 & THEREFORE C = 2 NOW YOU MAY SAY HERE THAT THIS IS HOW HE SOLVED IT, WHICH IS TRUE, BUT LOOK AT HOW IT ACCTUALLY IS I.E.
