Wrong! Olaplex is the only one that repairs and rebuild disulfide bonds. K18 restores the polypeptide chains. It helps the outer layer of the hair called the cuticle which is made of keratin. I use both on my clients because they both in fact do 2 different things.

My hair is fine with olaplex 3... even my first i got the result i wanted my ends are very bad from bleaching they are so dry that you can even comb it without breaking now its smoother than ever... well it worked for me... i just followed the instructions and left it for more than 10 minutes 😂my hair is fine...

For people that think these products “killed” their hair, remember…you can over use protein in your hair. Just like your nails(also keratin) can become TOO hard, so can your hair, thus, breaking. Your hair should be strong but also supple. Most people need moisture more than anything. These products should be kept in the hands of professionals, imho. Over usage has given them a bad rep.

I use olaplex bc it really aids in smoothing my grey hair. It has done a pretty decent job. Has anyone tried K18 on grey hair and had much success?

Had a color specialist in La tell me not to use Olaplex. She said it makes peoples hair like straw. She sees colored bleached hair all day long. Idk what she thinks of k18. She like a line of keratin products better. I forget the name of it.

K18 works on the inside, olaplex on the outside. I’m intrigued by this information I’ve learned. Could both be used on wash day?
