I generally don’t let celebrity deaths bother me much but when Bob had his incident I remember being so emotionally invested in it. I checked twitter every few hours for any word he was doing ok. Had no idea it was that dire.

Saw him on Colbert. He had a straight up widow maker heart attack, except there were people on set who knew CPR and some medics nearby. He not only does not remember that day, he doesn't remember the entire week. He's very lucky to be alive.

Holy crap, I had no idea he was that close to dying.

Heart incident or no, Bob Odenkirk must surely get an Emmy for Jimmy/Saul. That it hasn't happened already is just weird.

Kim and Howard, badasses in Better Call Saul and even bigger legends in real life. I'm so relieved Bob is okay. Its probably going to make the series finale even more ridiculously epic

Does anyone realize how lucky he is to be alive? Out of hospital CPR survival rates have been estimatesd as low as 10%. Combine that with the 24% chance of survival with having to administer 3 AED shocks(or more) and the fact it was a widowmaker attack and he really shouldn't be alive.

I would have cried my heart out if he didn't make it

Bob is a sweetheart. A good guy playing bad guys. I’m glad he is recovered from scary heart incident. Look forward to reading his new book. More action films please! But maybe do some classics as well. He’s demonstrated great versatility and savvy acting choices. Bob, you are beloved and I am relieved you are still here.

Its amazing the advances in heart surgery's in the last 20 years. You can have a heart attack and surgery and walk out within a day or two. Glad you're OK Bob and thank goodness for those people that helped save you 💕

I've been a fan of Bob since Ben Stiller show. Great talent. It would be super sad to lose him.

Just thinking about how lucky he was to collapse in front of a whole group of people instead of alone in his room. He definitely wouldn't have made it. Hoping for good health from here on out!

So I had a cardiac arrest. Which sounded like what Bob had.
But, in any case I was driving taxi and slowly bumped into a car at a dealership. No damage thankfully.
And the car salesman ran out, broke the window to get me out and gave me cpr for 30 minutes.
The paramedics needed 6 electrical shocks to revive me. My sister's husband needed 9 shocks, when he had his 12 years ago, but he never recovered consciousness. He passed away. So 6 might be the limit.
Also my downtime was 30 minutes, which is definitely the limit. Downtime means you're dead.
So I woke up in beautiful Vancouver General ICU. 15 hours drive south.
The nurse comes in when I wake up and asks 'do you know where you are?'
I love Vancouver, so I recognized it right away. I had like a VIP window view to the street.
Then she asked 'Do you know how long you've been here?' no idea.
She said you've been here for 10 days. Definitely a life moment.
I was worried at first I was missing work so to say the least a surprise.
She actually had to count out the days for me on a calendar cause I felt fine, and kept asking 'are you sure'.
A nice thing is if you survive a cardiac arrest, its an electrical thing so jumpstart a car and it can go. I wanted to play golf the same day, but I was not allowed out of hospital for 2 weeks until I got my pacemaker.
The only problem with a cardiac arrest tho is its a 6% chance of survival. One and done.
There has to be somebody with a defribrillator within 30 minutes or thats it.

Mr. Show was a breakthrough phenomenon for me. One of the funniest shows I’ve ever watched. Intelligent, and ridiculous. Love Bob And David and the rest of the cast as well.

That must have been scary AF for Bob but probably just as scary for his costars who held his hands as he was literally dying.
