🚍✨ Brussels Lifehack Alert! ✨🚇 Traveling around Brussels just got easier! Say goodbye to paper tickets and hello to contactless payments on the entire STIB - MIVB network! 💳📲

What to know:

🔹 Simply use your debit/credit card, smartphone, or smartwatch to pay.

🔹 It’s cheaper too - only €2.10 per trip (vs. €2.60 for a paper ticket).

🔹 Contactless payment machines are in every metro station, tram, and bus.

How to use: 🚃 Bus/Tram: Tap when you enter. 🚇 Metro: Tap when entering and exiting the station. If you need to change transports, validate the same card or smart device at each connection.

🕒 Good point: Connections within 60 min from the first validation are free, and you never pay more than €7.50/day!

Compatible with Google Pay, Apple Pay, Fitbit Pay, and Garmin Pay. Remember, one card/device per person. A card and a linked smartphone can be used for two different people.

💳 Note: €7.50 is temporarily blocked on your account (max day fare), released in maximum 2-3 business days. Only completed journeys are charged.

From the airport? Fare is €7, same as with a MOBIB card. ✈️

Rest assured, your bank data remains private even during STIB checks.

Check your journey history on the MyContactless customer portal on the STIB .

Travel smart, travel contactless! 🚏✨

Hi, coming to Brussels soon. Do we need to tap in and out from metro/bus (like in London) or just tap in when you get on?

Hello, if I use my credit card, how does it recognize that I want to buy a one-hour or one-day ticket? Thank you!

Can I do this with a foreign debit/credit card? It doesn’t need to be a Belgian bankcard right?
