Those thumbnails are so sharp, even my mom asked me:
mom: what does this beautiful man teaches?
me: "Business and Design"
mom: Wow look at these hands

"Work on your business, not for your business" - Hard lesson to learn but I'll try my best to do that.

Very helpful! I feel so lucky being subscribed to your channel. I've recently gotten two contractors in, basically full time, but they're not employees of FilledStacks. It's actually a great feeling to not be doing all the work but still deliver quality products. This is a great video, thanks for sharing it.

Also just as an update, just hit 18k subs on Youtube. I've used a lot of the principles you've shared to find and provide for my unique audience. Thank you for all the effort and work you're putting in.

This is essential knowledge for new business owners. Something valuable to add is the incredible importance of having having _written copy_ for your processes. To new business owners, your company is what you write. When it comes time to onboard staff you will have the tasks you want to delegate on hand, in writing and ready to go for your job description.

So freaking glad i found your channel! I’ve already so much, lowkey glad i didn’t waste my time going to “business school” when people like you help us learn so much more!

It’s really hard to hire people. But even harder to fire them because it’s completely your error and your ego just gets double punched . The first punch was hiring and the second one is firing.

Just the right time when I am contemplating to hire new team members for our Tour Agency so we can grow.

Today is the day I dropped my ego and decided I need to hire somebody. And then you post this. Wow. Must be a sign.

Amazing content Chris. I would like to give you an idea on another video.. Lead Generation for Agencies or in other words, get clients coming to you if you are agency. I know there is one video but it's mostly focusing only on one person. Thank you for your work! :)

Great content about the growing your business and hiring the right people. Two key areas I took from Chris are the ideas of training up and looking towards college and universities for internship and employment opportunities.

The “training up” concept is a great way to build loyalty and legacy. Loyalty is the individual is learning more about the business and stays to help it grow. The legacy is that even though individual who learns from your business leaves, your DNA is in their career anything they touch because of what they learned.

Another area that Chris brought up, but it grossly ignored is looking at colleges and universities for potential talent. I would add high school, community colleges, and trade schools in the mix as additional sources for entry level hiring or interns. These institutions provide untapped talent that could benefit everyone. There are institutions looking to give their students real world experience that builds their resume. In addition, these institutions could also provide other resources to help the entrepreneur grow their business. For the entrepreneur, they can create a “farm system” where students get the type of experience and skills more established would not bother. In addition, the entrepreneur builds a network and reputation as some who reaches out to institutions and students that the competition or more established businesses would not consider.

In both ideas, the entrepreneur plays “Art of War” by developing a strategic partnership and competitive edge over developing talent and potential clients.

Thanks guys for all the great content you produce. This is right where I'm at right now - growing our team from 1 (me) to 3 in the next 3 months. I am going to start producing content on YouTube as part of our plan to put a face to our brand - not just hide behind a logo and a website... I'm going to check out Epidemic Sounds!

I’m a full-time freelancer and having an epidemic account would be a real helpful tool for so many projects. Especial since video is now a big part of companies and what they look do. Plus between all the services you pay monthly to operate the business it adds up. Big hug to you and the crew.

This was great! In the same vein, The E-Myth by Michael E. Gerber is a good book to read about working ON and not in the business.

I've been working up the guts to hire/contract out, but lack confidence in the accounting arena and am afraid of getting myself stuck.

Plus, not even sure what's a reasonable rate (project-based? hourly?) to pay an eager hire.

Also, having a hard time finding individuals eager to learn/find a mentor.

You're a master at what your audience is thinking about, Chris Do. Thank you! :) <3
