The problem with religious people and morals is that they don't advocate being moral, they advocate following a list of rules. Following rules doesn't mean that you're moral, it just means that you can do what you're told, usually with the threat of violence if you don't follow the rules, and that's not morality.
Morality is doing what is right or what is fair and beneficial to others because it's the right thing to do, whether you're being watched or judged or not, because you would want to be treated the same. You should be the judge of your own actions and that's what would make you moral.

As you say, God demands some pretty horrible s^&t in the Bible. But I have another thought. Mr. Muslim needs to provide some evidence for his claim that it is a _necessity_ to have a god for humans to have morality.

Morality is a concept. Good and Evil actually don't exist. But just because it doesn't exist doesn't mean we can just go about and do whatever we want.

Until theists provide actual evidence for God's existence and then evidence that this God does have objective morals, their morality is nothing short of subjective.

They are following SUBJECTIVE morals of their prophets who PROJECTED their subjective morals and world views as OBJECTIVE and coming from God.

No one should be inclined to believe otherwise until we get some actual evidence supporting the contrary.

And lastly, subjective morality is actually superior to this "objective" one that they have, solely because subjective morals are rooted in logic, knowledge, arguments and analysis, whereas their "objective" morals are rooted in books of pure HEARSAY and literally nothing else "God says so and don't you dare question it".

Yeah, adding god doesn’t fix it either. You have to start from subjective preferences on what is a better outcome, then you can have moral judgements about what pursues that better.
Like provide an objective reason that going to hell is bad. Yes, I agree subjectively I think pain is bad, but you need to provide an objective justification for pain being bad if you are using it as justification that going to hell is bad because it increases pain.
And you just keep going down the spurs of circular reasoning.
And then you say, well, I subjectively accept that reducing suffering and increasing general well being are moral goals, and construct my morality based on what can be objectively measured to improve those.


You apparently subjectively accept pleasing god as the most important moral goal. Why?
