Показать описание
BFRB or body-focused repetitive behaviours refers to a group of related behavioural disorders which are characterised by uncontrollable urges like biting, picking, and pulling, and it can cause damage. As many as 1 in 20 people have some kind of BFRB, but in practice, they're often wrongly dismissed as just as bad habits. BFRBs are characterised by the inability to control compulsively damaging impulses, and one of the most common is a hair-pulling disorder where people pull out their hair not only from their head but even from their eyelashes, and other parts of their body. This results in visible bald patches and is called Trichotillomania.
