How to bottle feed baby rabbits: 3 days old.

I have a litter of rabbits that we are following from pre birth to adult rabbits. When the baby rabbits turned three days old there were a couple kits that were not getting enough food and needed our intervention. In this video we learn how to bottle feed rabbits.

I have been feeding 9 babies due to mother passed away. They are 2 days old. I’ve been using a bubble piper. It works out well. Great video.

Thank you, I just found a bunny probably about a week old, didn’t even open eyes yet. This helps. I bought kitten milk and whipping cream. I will mix it up and feed the bunny. I read a bit, about 5ml will do for about a week old. First time ever taking care of a bunny. Wish me luck!!

These look great. Had five to six kittens. All died, only found three bodies in the nest. But when checked previously, they showed signs of brain damage – they just kick furiously and aimlessly to the touch. I have handled them before, and it was definitely not normal. "Nature is a cruel mistress". I should purchase the formula for the next litter, and setup a control group.

I needed to see this. Take care of 2 babies who are approximately 4-5 days old and they won’t take it in with the bottle at all. Are you using goat milk or KMR kitten replacer ?

Thank you so much. We had tried the syringe with cow's milk until we could get some kitten milk replacer, and now that we have it and kitten feeding bottle, I find out that rabbits don't usually do well from a kitten bottle. So we're going to move back to the syringe like you're doing it and give it a shot.

Thanks for the info. I just found a newborn baby cottontail this morning out in the open, but alive. WTHeck? I found rabbit fur nearby so I guess its mom had a bad night with a hungry critter. As I write this it is less than 24 hours old I am guessing, as it was out there so exposed in predator-land. Even the local crow family would have seen it and done bad things. Maybe 3" long. Doing well! Gave it some cow juice with a little table cream added. I need to get kitty milk replacer? Does goats milk work well?

Thank u. I tried to leave a bunny so it's mom would come. She did not after half a day. I bought some goat's milk from pet supplies. Thanks. This is what I did.
