That was a really good review and glad to hear your thoughts on one of the finest composers out there. For me the experience with listening to John Williams scores has been quite different. The thing is I have always been listening to classical music since kid and the first time I listened to jaws and star wars theme as I had heard a lot of praise for it I liked it but also I remember finding myself a bit angry because those themes were so strongly borrowed from Dvorak symphony number 9 and planets by Holst respectively and I wished people gave them as much credit as they gave Williams and then also add to fact he won Oscar for star wars. But this initial irritation of mine which now feels irrelevant after listening to many more scores of his especially Schlinder's list which broke my heart I got a glimpse of amount of inspiration he has from classical music and he is the only composer who carries it's remains in his score!!
