I think her marrying Milhouse is her only canonical future. And I know it sounds like a joke but it's not. Those episodes weren't anybody's vision of the future. It flashed straight forward to the future and not to mention it was almost the series finale.

I just noticed that in that Christmas photo, Lisa has the “😐” expression when her and Milhouse are shown to be married. Odd but understandable, I liked her better with Nelson anyway lol

There's a mistake in your theory. When Lisa is president of the US, Milhouse is one of her advisors, and he isn't a zombie. So, things should have happen in another way

Love it. What about that future episode where they retconned Lisa going to college? Do we just view that as an alternate timeline?

If I could, I would reboot and retcon The Simpsons after season 7. I would make future Lisa the new “Dr. Hibbert”, and make the the show’s voice of reason again. Lisa would be a doctor, Bart would be the new “Otto”, where he drives the school bus but also has a band that is semi-successful.

Maggie would be a globe-trotting journalist who brings back amazing photos and footage from all over the world, and occasionally earns her siblings’ ire for unintentionally stealing their thunder, but always earns their admiration when they see the fruits of her investigation and when she reminds them of how much she misses them and vice versa.

I always thought of each future as a possible timeline to go down and not a set path as the future is always changing and time is in no way linear.
