I hope that this unit does a whole lot better than my slightly older Linear opener.  Door goes up and down fine, but the original remotes were lost so I bought new Linear remotes.  But the system won't learn.  So I bought other generic remotes and still the system won't learn.  I tried contacting Linear, but it was $35 to connect and another $60 (or $65) if call went over 15 minutes ... and no guarantee that the clock would not include time I spent on hold.  So I sent a garage guy out there to do a tune-up on the door itself and asked him to look at it while he was out there.  He agreed unit won't learn.  So I have to take down a viable unit because the electronics apparently are shot ... ugghh.  I did eMail Linear but never heard back.  Needless to say, the replacement will NOT be from Linear.

Hi there - any tips for what to do when the door is really noisy, the chain rattles somewhat violently, and then it reopens itself before it finishes closing? (New house in which I didn't install the machine) Thanks!!

Can I connect this to my 2016 BMW Homelink? Also can this be a smart opener or hooked up to home automation options? Thanks
