So I thought I'd switch it up with the Swedish group called Dirty Loops - these guys are insane and the lead singer probably has one of the best voices I've ever heard - just my opinion!! What do you think?
Anyway I hope you like it. I really do.

Peace y'all

Great reaction! I just saw them two days ago live in my town. „Hit me“ is the last song of the show. And he does that run at the end spot on. No autotune, no nothing - just sheer talent. What a banger concert that was. Jeeez!

His riffs and runs on this and "Next to You" are some of my favorites I've ever heard. You hear a lot of riffs and runs like his in a lot of R&B and gospel, which a lot of their music has elements of, but it's still super impressive. Not only is Jonah very Stevie, but he's also very Brian McKnight and Stokely from Mint Condition. I guess that's why I like them so much. They incorporate so much of the genres I normally listen to. And I agree that he doesn't sound like MJ. But his style and certain things he does lets you know MJ is an influence. When he does sound like MJ, it's on purpose and I tend not to like it too much.

Thanks for that reaction and analysis video, and yes Jonah is a beast when it comes to vocals. Then, he’s also a great piano/keys player, songwriter, arranger and and….but I totally agree with what you said about his voice and his musicality.
Bear in mind that this video was shot after they’d recorded the song, so what you see there mightn’t be necessarily what you would’ve seen in the studio, sound-creation-wise.
But Jonah did say in an interview on Stratele Studio’s YT channel that he hates auto tune and has hardly ever had to use it-.
I also appreciated some of the other very interesting comments you’ve made on his vocals…many people hear a lot of Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder in his singing. Definitely, but I think there’s so much more in his voice…
He’s released a solo album, and some of the singing on there is just…otherworldly.
But do check out Dirty Loops with “Breakdown” for some exquisit singing, as well as “Next To You”, where Jonah layers ALL of the vocals himself, to an amazing effect!
Glad you’ve started going down the DLoops path -enjoy ☺️
And thanks once more for a great reaction/analysis 🙏

Many influences . Stevie Wonder, MJ and Pat Metheny for harmonics ( they said that in interviews). Fun fact Jona Nilsson started as piano player. Singing come way later as he just want to add something to his play. What a talent.

Really nice comments from your side! Eagerly awaiting more DL reactions from your side. Subscribed in hope for it. If you react to Work shit out, you will hear Jonah performing a piano solo.

I’ve just been to 4 shows in a row and posted some show videos if you want to hear Jonah live 😊 They are 3 incredibly talented and inspiring musicians and people and I just love what they do!

Great reaktion, so interesting. I think Jonah said in the Stratele interviews that they used a little auto tune on this, their first album, since they were stressed to finish it. But I don’t believe they’ve he’s used it after that. And as you said, several live performances prove he’s able to do his runs.
One live recording from 2015 I really love, it’s crazy tight and flawless singing in rather cold weather, is Let’s Dance. You get a lot of closeups of his mouth technique too.

His solo album Now or Never proves his unique talent too, I mean which make singers can sing a complete choir including sounding like a perfect boys choir?
Sorry for the long rant 😁

You are so right, me thinks it´s Stevie Wonder tones he has not so much MJ.
