Its very easy to miss, but the group of enemies incoming is on the ipad(on the right) right above the name of the tower you have chosen. Some of the enemies are immune to fire and some are armored on the front side as examples where you were not aware and cost you. Def one of my favorite games this yr.
Also you should check out Illuminaria, damn is it good.

They had a Yu Gi Oh game like the style your talking about. I think it was on the Playstation 2. it was called The Duelest of the Roses. By far my fave version of Yu Gi Oh tbh.

Game suggest scavnager SV-4 it like star trek combined with duskers if that makes sense.
