Asian Giant Hornet vs. Japanese Honeybees

A Giant hornet (Vespa mandarinia) approached the nest of Japanese honeybees (Apis cerana japonica). The honeybees all shook their bodies simultaneously outside the hive to intimidate the hornet. Startled by the display, the Giant hornet briefly flew away but soon returned. Finally, one honeybee was caught by the hornet. The hornet took the honeybee back to its nest to feed its larvae. These giant hornets are a real menace. I understand why people hunt them and kill the nest. If they’re eating or honeybees, we will have no pollination of fruits and vegetables. They’re a real menace.
