Lukaku scored 21 goals in a rather average Roma side last season. He didn't take penalties, the service was appalling at times (particularly from wide areas), and he was overplayed because there was not an able deputy.

He will flourish at Napoli under Conte.

Seria A is a fantastic league, but most games are played at a slow pace. That is why there are players in their late 30s and early 40s who are still excelling in Italy's top flight.

Lukaku is 31. He plays more in bursts than he used to, but he is still very fast and immensely strong.

Fab has already said that this deal will happen. I would expect Lukaku to score 25 goals in all competitions.

Why are the pundits so unaware of the financial basics of the Lukaku and Osimhen scenarios. Lukaku has already agreed a three year deal at just 5m euros a year with Napoli. Osimhen is on 12m euros. Napoli can’t afford the pay Osimhen wages for next year. They expected a bidding war for him this summer but due to injury and a drop off in form they can neither shift him of afford to keep him. Stevie being totally unaware of how finance work is not a surprise but hearing Gab being so clueless was a surprise.

Conte will get his way and buy Lukaku for around 35m euros, and Osimhen will eventually agree to drop his salary to below 10m euros a year, and go to heldentenor on a one year loan with an option to buy. That would work for all parties.

Its not conte that doesn’t want osihmen the first interview they asked conte if osihmen would leave and conte said that he will decide who stays in the club and who comes but on osihmen he doesn’t have word because the president adl and osihmen had a deal from when osihmen signed the contract it was already decided that osihmen should leave but the problem is that conte doesn’t want to wait that they sell osihmen because he’s a week from the star of the league

Sounds like Lukaku is replacing Osimhen but I'd prefer that PSG just spent a year failing with their new signings and find a star. Because Kang, Kolo Muani, Neves and Beraldo were expensive players and I'd like to see one of them become a star before they bring in Osimhen. Where PSG risks becoming a "FEEDER CLUB" if they don't develop talent and simply poach talent. And what about BARCOLA and XAVI SIMONS. Why aren't PSG developing these guys? Franck is right about Osimhen 25 being considered slightly too old by crazy Chelsea brass since they prefer to sign players 23 and younger. I'm they'll work it out but Conte won't last in Napoli past 1 season if he really prefers 31 year old to striker 6 years his junior even if they are both conisdered 'world class'.
