On this episode of @StateOfSoccer we are heading across the pond to West London where we have a date with one of the best looking stadiums in all of world football!

This is Fulham FC's Craven Cottage! Archibald Leitch's masterpiece, and the pride of Fulham. We were lucky enough to be led through a full private tour by Ed Vanson. Ed showed us around the turn-styles, stands, inside of the cottage, shared with us some of the the best views, and taught us so much history on the way!

I have laid out a full time stamps, so feel free to jump around the tour! My last request is 'hit like,' subscribe, and leave us some feedback if you enjoyed the tour!

Check out all things SOSTV for more original content!

Brings back special memories for me back in 1961 joining Fulham as an apprentice professional when I was 15 then signing as a professional at 17years old. I was so lucky to play with great players like Bobby Robson George Cohen Rodney Marsh Johnny Haynes Fred Callaghan and many others. I loved my time at Fulham and it will always be very special to me to play for such a great club.John Dempsey ex player.

I grew up on the other side of the river, directly opposite the ground, so I was able to read my books by the light of the floodlights that shone into my room and could tell the scores from the noise of the crowds. My first match there was at the age of ten, in 1971, and I've been a Fulham supporter ever since.

I'm a Liverpool fan and I'm glad to see Fulham promoted. Proper old fashioned football ground, much prefer that to the soulless new stadiums that are propping up. Yet to go but would love to. Great video and the tour guide seemed lovely

Fulham fan here - what a delightful video! I'm so glad you liked our ground.

I just wanted to highlight 16:10 in your video. There's a flag hanging on a wall that says "RIP Tony Warner". Tony very sadly died of Covid last year, but he was our official Number One Fan. He attended every single match whether home, away or abroad. He also carried the trophy out at Wembley when we were in the play off final there in 2018. He was a very recognisable figure and I often chatted to him when we were away at some far flung northern club.

I originally posted this to give a bit of context to any casual watcher of this video, but it's just made me think how wonderful of my club to have a tribute to him up on the wall. I would never have seen it as I sit down the other end and haven't planned on another stadium tour (I went on one years ago and I go to the ground every other weekend anyway!). So thank you very much for that!

What a great, unique stadium. I was at the Fulham v Benfica game (Feb 1972) at the opening of the riverside stand. 50 years later a new riverside stand is nearly finished - how time flies!

As a Fulham fan who has been sitting in the Johnny Haynes stand for the past 5 years every game, this video was really enjoyable.
And as the tour guide said, Tim Ream genuinely is a really loved one at the club, he’s been defending there for as long as I can remember.
Thank you for this video it was great.

One of my fave grounds- great character & features. The cottage in the corner is brilliant, my first glimpse inside it this. It looks great at Christmas when they stick all the lights and stuff on it!

I'm delighted that Fulham are still at the cottage. I remember the Bulstrode era when it looked like the ground would be sold and built on.

was in London in April/23, did a Thames tour to Kew Gardens and passed by Craven Cottage - beautiful view of the Cottage! Am a Spurs fan from across the pond but looking forward to our next journey to England to come to Fulham for a tour and a match!

Funny the guide saying that Fulham like their 4-0 home wins. I have been to Craven Cottage for a game twice; the second time was for an FA Cup tie in 2011 between Fulham and my team, Spurs. Fulham won 4-0; it wasn't the most enjoyable 90 minutes of my life, but I absolutely loved the ground. I had a great time sat in the Johnny Haynes stand bantering with Fulham fans - Fulham have been a bit of a second team for me ever since and I'm pleased about their return to the premiership this coming season. Maybe they will manage to stay up this time...

I think that stadium is one of the coolest ones, because they try to preserve it as much as they can. The front is amazing, original architecture. Hope they keep preserving it.

Add Fulham to my favorite clubs. Because of this great stadium and of the genuine rootsy London feeling that is so obvious from watching this excellent video.
