IT’S rare to be born a twin, but these sets of twins take rare and unique to an extraordinary level. From twins Lucy and Zoe who are one of only three sets of twins in the entire world with their condition, to twins Sierra and Sienna, who often get people mistaking them for older and younger siblings due to Sienna’s incredibly rare condition. These twins have faced many difficulties along the way but that hasn’t stopped them from living their lives to the fullest and inspiring others along the way.

As a sibling of a mentally handicapped person, one of the biggest things these parents can do is start looking into care in adulthood after the parents are gone. Don’t leave that for their brother to figure out and transition them through. Don’t assume their brother will have the ability or resources to look after them.

I loved the sweetness of the big brother to his sister's with DS ... His gentle caring brought me a smile ~ the girls were also so cheerful ~ the love of the parents was also so comforting and heartwarming ❣️

My great grandmother and her sister were twins. Born 1892! They always bought two of everything. Even when they lived in different towns they would wear the same thing…without plannning or any prior communication. The only way to tell them apart was different glasses! They were amazing. I had them for over 25 years. I was blessed.

I found this totally amazing. They were all beautiful, but Sheterria, the older sister to She'riq and Te'riq, was gorgeous!! I wish I could look like that. Unfortunately, kids can be cruel, and some adults are as well. I hope everyone in this video can continue their upbeat view on life. They were all so positive despite having some differences and a lot of people should look to them for inspiration and not to their differences.
Well done everyone in the video. 🇨🇦

The mom of the trans twins is an amazing mom! Im fairly certain that having your mama tell you that "you are still my kids and if it makes you happy, do it, I still love you." has got to be a huge part of making that transition ❤

To the woman who said that God wouldn't want the conjoined twins to live, if He didn't want them to live, they wouldn't have lived.

I think the big lesson here is that these kids in different environments had loving and supportive parents and siblings. It's so true how your attitude towards a situation can make a world of difference! Beautiful people and stories, all the best to all of them 😊

When pregnant, I was very high risk for having a baby with Down’s Syndrome. I had an amniocentesis and was “genetically counselled” and told I’d be booked in for termination if the result was positive. my husband and I said we would not terminate and the doctor told us that we were the first couple in his entire 30+ year career who would keep a child with a definate diagnosis of Down’s Syndrome. So sad. She had a negative result, but we would have loved her just the same anyway.❤

You guys are already winning because you didn’t let someone else dictate to you what your family should or shouldn’t be 💖💖

My first experience with a child with Down Syndrome was the youngest son of the people who owned a Dry Cleaner in Alhambra, California. They are of Korean descent, lovely people who loved their little boy with all their hearts. They would take him to work with them every day and he loved being there with his parents and giving hugs to the customers. The entire community mourned his passing at thirteen years old. Such a sweet soul that ever lived.

I was very touched by Angel's and Fabians's story. Their loving mother ❤. And it must have been, and be, very valuable for them to have each other through this journey of transition.

Angel and Fabian's mother is a gem- someone who loves their children no matter who they are, as long as they're happy. That's how all parents should be. 💚💚💚

Love all of the twins stories, I have twin girls myself, my youngest twin was diagnosed with Addison's disease at 15, and has to take medication every day for the rest of her life, my oldest was tested and still gets tested for it to this day. But luckily hasn't got it, They are both doing well and are mums themselves now. Xxx
